INNOVATIONS IN EDUCATION GRANT
ROBERT ADAMS MIDDLE SCHOOL
"RAMS Digital Makerspace" - This new capability empower students to be creators of rich, sophisticated digital content including multimedia productions like podcasts, films, animation and websites. While students have been using school Chromebooks for a while, this project will provide high content quality, production value, and collaboration in this digital creation environment. The digital media makerspace will support the philosophy of "design thinking" to develop solutions to real-world problems using the process of testing and modification (prototyping and refinement) towards ideal solutions. The new Digital Media Makerspace will accommodate different learning styles and interests with eight equipment stations including: computer-based video editing, audio/video recording/editing, film recording studio, iPad-based movie making and video editing, stop-motion animation studio, drone video station, viewing screens, and a portable green screen. Leader: Adam Steiner.
